The Georgia Learning Foundation (www.galearn.org) allows Georgia tax payers to redirect their Georgia State taxes to provide financial aid for elegible students who attend our Dar Un Noor Academy.

By contributing to Georgia Learning Foundation for a tax credit you can tell the State of Georgia that you want your tax dollars to be used at our school, and you will provide an opportunity for young Muslims desiring to attend Dar Un Noor Academy.

By participating in this program, our school will benefit because of increased enrollment, increased tuition income, increased funds available for educational improvements (i.e. technology in the classroom), and further our mission of educating the young Muslim generation in an Islamic setting.

How Much Can You Redirect?

• $2,500 - Married Couple Filing Jointly
• $1,250 - Married Individual Filing Separately
• $1,000 - Individual Filing Single

Small business owners can give even more!  S-Corp, LLC, or Partnerships are elegible for an even greater incentive.

• 75% of Georgia Income Tax Liability for C-Corp
• $10,000 for S-Corp, LLC, or Partnerships

Georgians across the state are participating in this program as demand for private education continues to increase.  The State only allows $58 million to be allocated, and because of the popularity of this program, you only have until December 31, 2014 to pre-register.

Where Do I Sign Up!

We have opened our doors for the pre-registration process.  This is basically a 'promise to pay.'  Simply visit www.galearn.org/dun and complete the form.  We do not need any money today, this is just a simple form that puts you in line to participate in this program.

Once your form is submitted, you will receive an instant email for your e-signature as confirmation that you would like to participate.  Simply sign electronically, and you are all done.  In the end of January 2015, the State Department of Revenue will send you an approval notice and you can remit payment to the Georgia Learning Foundation.

Once your payment is received (within 60 days of pre-approval) the Department of Revenue will then send you letter stating that you have pre-paid your Georgia State Income Tax.  You will then use this letter on your 2015 tax return (Form 500) and the state will refund your donation.
